The Stockroom Society is launching a Photography for Beginners course with photographer Edwin James, a hands-on introduction to understanding your camera and developing your own visual style.

If you have ever felt frustrated by automatic settings or wondered how photographers control light, focus and exposure, this course is designed to unlock the mystery. Across six practical sessions you will move beyond point-and-shoot and start making photographs with intention.

You will learn how cameras really work, how to control exposure, sharpen your focus, improve composition and work creatively with natural and artificial light. We will also explore the basics of editing so you can bring your images to life after the shutter clicks.
